A terrific documentary about one of the greatest cinematographers of all time - Jack Cardiff, BSC. He shot the astoundingly beautiful "The Red Shoes", "Black Narcissus", "The African Queen" - and over a hundred films during his career. Trailer for the film here.

01.10Shooting at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas for Positive Living Productions show "Gadget Girlz".

11.09Completed cinematography for short film "Re-Wire" - directed by David J. Fernandes and produced by New Real Films. "Re-Wire" was shot on the RED. Frame grabs here

06.09 Did my first shoot with the RED camera for an upcoming feature documentary. And I'm prepping for a short next month also to be shot on RED.

Recently completed shooting a documentary for the Canadian Auto Workers. The theme of the video is how the economic downturn has affected their members across the country. We filmed in Vancouver, Halifax, St. John's and Windsor

01.09 Here's a rough piece I cut together of some footage I shot in the U.K. on my DVX100 for the Safer London Foundation. It's for a short dramatic piece higlighting the problems of youth gun and knife violence in London. Lots of fun - especially since there was no crew - no gaffer, no camera assistant and no film lighting gear. Just me and a couple of tiny Rosco litepads and whatever I could McGyver together on location. A real seat of the pants production that was aided by the great young talent.

11.08 | A long time since I updated this. I had a pretty busy summer and fall. Filming continues on the "Low Profile: Simply Saucer" documentary. Shot a great interview last week with producer/musician/filmmaker Bob Lanois, who recorded Simply Saucer in 1974, the tracks which would later become the infamous "Cyborgs Revisited". Also, I did a greenscreen shoot for client Dell Computers through Compass 360 for their Good News Network website. Currently I am shooting HD for the new TV show 'Positive Living' and later this month I am starting filming for the HD feature documentary "The Blip". I will post some footage/stills soon.

05.08 | shot a live music video for purveyors of fine western swing, the Bebop Cowboys. Time was very limited but we managed to get some good footage and have fun in the process. | view clip here

05.08 | shot some interviews for Pandemic Preparation in the OPS. | view clip here

04.08 | shot a low-budget music video for LAL's new CD "Deportations" | excerpt

03.08 | I was nominated for photography, along with John Cook and Marck Buchner of Compass360 for a JUNO award for CD/DVD design for Paul Reddick's 'REVUE'. | read more here
